Our Doctors
Dr. Robert F. Morrison
Clinical Director
Dr. Robert F. Morrison is the owner and founder of Morrison Dental Group, serving families since 1992. After completing his service with the U.S. Navy, he opened the practice with a mission to provide genuine and compassionate care for the families of the Hampton Roads region. Over the years, the practice has grown to incorporate advanced dental technologies while continuing to provide patient-focused care for individuals and families.
Dr. Morrison earned his Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry from Southern Illinois University in 1979, followed by his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 1982 from Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine. He completed a post-doctoral residency in Comprehensive Dentistry and went on to serve as a dental officer ashore and afloat from 1982–1991, including as department head aboard the U.S.S. Guam and head of the Pediatric Department at Norfolk Naval Station.
Dr. Morrison is married to Alison, who serves as Morrison Dental Group’s CFO. They have two sons: Frank, a Lieutenant Commander in the U.S. Coast Guard, and Alex, who is the group’s Chief Compliance Officer. In his spare time, Dr. Morrison enjoys fishing on the Chesapeake Bay, kayaking, and restoring British MG cars. He is also a member of the ADA, American Academy of Sleep Medicine, Virginia Dental Association, Peninsula Dental Society, and the International College of Dentistry.
Dr. Rafael Siqueira
Periodontist
Originally from Recife, Brazil, Dr. Rafael Siqueira brings a strong background in research, education, and advanced dentistry to Morrison Dental Group. He earned his dental degree in 2010 from the University of Pernambuco, followed by a Master’s in Implantology. He then completed a PhD at the Federal University of Pernambuco, during which he conducted research at the University of Michigan. Later, he returned to Michigan to complete a three-year residency in periodontics.
Dr. Siqueira has published more than 30 scientific articles in international peer-reviewed journals and authored five book chapters, earning recognition for his work. His passion for dentistry was inspired by his parents, both dentists, and by observing the lasting impact his father had on patients and students. Today, Dr. Siqueira proudly carries forward that same dedication as a dentist, educator, and researcher.
Outside of work, Dr. Siqueira enjoys playing tennis, traveling, and discovering new restaurants. He is fluent in Portuguese, English, and Italian, and continues to improve his Spanish. He and his wife, Renata, a lawyer, recently welcomed their first child, Thomas, and they look forward to adding a dog to their family soon.
Dr. Katherine Powell
General Dentist
Dr. Katherine Powell first discovered her passion for dentistry in high school while working as a dental office assistant. That experience confirmed her career path and inspired her to help patients achieve healthier, more confident smiles. She looks forward to improving the lives of her patients each day through comprehensive care.
After growing up in northern Virginia, Dr. Powell attended the University of Virginia, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry. She went on to earn her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from New York University College of Dentistry, followed by an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at Virginia Commonwealth University. She later cared for patients in private practice in Connecticut before joining Morrison Dental Group, and she continues to expand her skills through ongoing continuing education.
Outside the office, Dr. Powell enjoys baking, hiking, and watching college basketball. She and her husband enjoy visiting national parks, especially now that they can share those adventures with their young daughter, Emma.
Dr. SinHye Jewett
General Dentist
Dr. SinHye Jewett is passionate about providing patient-centered dental care with a strong focus on education and prevention. She completed her undergraduate studies at James Madison University and went on to earn her master’s degree from Georgetown University. Dr. Jewett received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from New York University College of Dentistry.
Drawn to dentistry by her love of art and working with her hands, Dr. Jewett found the profession to be the perfect blend of creativity and science. She is driven by her desire to help others and enjoys mentoring and educating patients on oral hygiene so they can maintain healthy smiles for life. Her background as a Division I swimmer at James Madison University also sparked her passion for coaching and teaching, which translates into her approachable and supportive style with patients.
Originally born in South Korea, Dr. Jewett moved to the United States in the eighth grade and attended high school in Northern Virginia. She values building strong relationships with patients and creating a comfortable, positive experience at every visit.
Outside the office, Dr. Jewett enjoys spending time with her husband, Bland, who is a CPA, and their son, Carter. She also loves arts and crafts, especially drawing. Dr. Jewett speaks Korean and enjoys traveling, particularly trips to Miami with her family. She looks forward to becoming more involved in the community and plans to volunteer with Special Olympics programs in the future.
Dr. Jewett is excited to serve patients in the Midlothian office and help them achieve healthy, confident smiles.

Rebecca Haden
Rebecca Haden is the Office Coordinator at our Midlothian location and brings five years of dental experience to the team. She grew up primarily in West Point, Virginia, and relocated to Dinwiddie in October 2025.
Rebecca is passionate about patient care and loves witnessing the transformation patients experience throughout their dental journey—from the first visit to the final results. Helping patients feel confident and happy with their smiles is what motivates her most.
Outside of the office, Rebecca enjoys spending time with her boyfriend, Seth, whom she recently moved in with after nearly two and a half years together. She’s a proud cat mom to Milo and is excited to welcome a German Shorthaired Pointer puppy to the family. In her free time, Rebecca can usually be found reading, connecting with family and friends, or heading out on new adventures.
