Dr. Paul Kim
Dr. Paul Kim was born in South Korea and moved to the United States in 2004 where his family settled down in Northern Virginia.
He attended UVA for his undergraduate degree in Biochemistry. He then continued on to attend VCU’s School of Dentistry where he earned his DDS. Dr. Kim completed a residency at the VA Hospital in Birmingham, AL. He is Invisalign certified, volunteered on various dental service trips in college, and looks forward to volunteering for Smiles for Heroes.
Dr. Kim was first drawn to dentistry as a child in Korea. Contrary to most people’s experiences, he had a relatively traumatizing experience in the dental chair, which motivated him to be a dentist. He wanted to change people’s view of dentistry and treat his patients with the utmost care, careful to ensure that all patients have a pleasant experience with him. While he still doesn’t enjoy being on the receiving end of dental care, Dr. Kim enjoys being able to calm an anxious patient and successfully treat them. He wants to change patient’s minds that have previously had a bad dental experience. He finds great joy seeing patients leave with a smile and return to see him again.
Dr. Kim describes himself as introverted, but social. He recharges best when he is alone. In his spare time, he enjoys board games, video games, escape rooms and movies. A fun fact about Dr. Kim is that in Korean, his given name – Dado – means “the art of drinking tea.”
Dr. Anisa Kasiri
Dr. Anisa Kasiri was born in a small village in the Himalayan Mountains. For as long as she could remember, good dental care was not readily available to her family. This motivated her to seek out the dental profession so that she could better serve her community, regardless of where she lives.
Dr. Kasiri obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Virginia Commonwealth University, and completed her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at New York University College of Dentistry. She then completed her General Practice Residency at Lincoln Hospital in New York before moving back to Virginia. Kasiri has been volunteering with Virginia Mission of Mercy projects across Virginia. She is also Invisalign certified.
Dr. Kasiri is an avid runner, a violinist, and enjoys bicycling, long walks, and swimming with her young son and her husband. A fun fact about Dr. Kasiri is that her parents are educators and she spent many days at her parent’s school volunteering and teaching, where she developed an abundance of love and passion for children and youth. She and her husband host a weekly children’s class for her son and his friends where they learn about various human virtues such as love, unity, honesty, etc.
Dr. Kasiri loves what she does, and makes dental visits happy and stress-free for her patients. The most rewarding aspect of her work is to see her patients satisfied with their dental work.
Alex Morrison is from Williamsburg, VA. He helps with overseeing the Midlothian, Mechanicsville and Chincoteague offices, monitoring supplies and compliance for all offices as well.

After going to school for Forensic Science, her life took a different course and brought her here to Virginia and to our office. Amanda most enjoys working with our patients.
She gets satisfaction from seeing someone walk in the door upset and hopeless because they’re in pain or just don’t like their smile, and they leave happy, healthy, and smiling! In her spare time, Amanda enjoys hunting, fishing, crabbing, and spending time with her kids. She has a cat, dog, and a very old goldfish. A fun fact about Amanda is that she is a sharpshooter.

Mary has received two undergraduate degrees during her time at VCU – one in Biology and one in Dental Hygiene. During her time at VCU, she spent a lot of her time volunteering with various MOM projects and taking missions trips to Honduras.
What Mary loves most about being a dental hygienist is the positive impact she has on a person’s confidence and quality of life by helping them achieve a healthier smile. She strives to help people form a better opinion of the dental office so that they can get excited to come in for hygiene care.
In her spare time, you can find Mary running, hiking, and trying new restaurants with her boyfriend. A fun fact about Mary is that she has been skydiving and zip lining before!
