Dr. Marc Barrett
Dr. Marc Barrett first discovered his passion for dentistry during his childhood in the early 1980s. While living at McGuire Air Force Base in New Jersey, the dental clinic held an art contest for which a young Dr. Barrett drew a picture promoting proper brushing. This artistic rendition of dental hygiene ultimately sparked his ambition to become a dentist in the U.S. military.
With his father on active duty in the Air Force, Dr. Barrett grew up all over the U.S., including New Jersey, New Mexico, Alabama, and California. After completing his undergrad at Christopher Newport University, he attended dental school at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. In 2010, he completed his two-year residency through the U.S. Army A.E.G.D. program at Ft. Hood, Texas. Dr. Barrett is certified in Invisalign and has experience placing dental implants, third molar extractions, and aesthetic dentistry. His favorite part of dentistry is getting patients out of pain and fixing dental cavities in the Smile Zone. Though describing himself as fun-loving and laid back, Dr. Barrett is uncompromising in his standards of care for his patients, ensuring they receive the best dental care possible at all times.
Outside of the office, Dr. Barrett enjoys watching science and history shows and listening to classic rock from the 70s and 80s. He and his wife, Rachel Pierce Barrett, devote their free time to their children’s extracurricular programs with the Boy Scouts of America, the Williamsburg Youth Harp Society, the Institute for Dance Williamsburg, and the Foundations Church. Dr. Barrett and his wife have two children, Elijah and Mary, both attending Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA. Additionally, the family has a dog named Taeja, two cats, three fish tanks, and a corn snake named Ogsusu.

Dr. Jesus Sanchez
For Dr. Jesús Sánchez, dentistry has been a part of his entire life. Growing up in Puerto Rico, he visited his parents’ dental practice daily and the field always intrigued him.
As he grew older, Dr. Sánchez realized the importance of his parents’ work, and helping people in their community, which is what fuels his passion for dentistry today. Dr. Sánchez remembers, “As I was growing up, I understood that in the field of dentistry I would be able to do something I enjoy and give back. That mentality of helping people is what drives me to work and do the best that I can.” Dr. Sánchez is thrilled to be a part of Morrison Dental Group and is excited to meet new patients. He is an “eternal student,” constantly looking to learn more about new technologies in the dental field and how he can better serve his patients.
Dr. Sánchez attended the University of Puerto Rico of Dental Medicine and completed two residencies, one being a General Practice Residency at Lehigh Valley Health Network in Allentown, PA, and the second at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in Newark, NJ with a focus on Oral Surgery.
Dr. Sánchez is a proud Eagle Scout and is looking forward to sharing his love for the outdoors with his children. Dr. Sánchez enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, reading, water sports, and being a part of the community. He is married to his high school sweetheart, Susana, a former dancer and wedding coordinator who now dedicates her days to being a stay-at-home mom for their sons, Lorenzo and Javier. The family lives in Williamsburg with their dog, Emma, whom they adopted from the Humane Society on the couple’s first anniversary.
