Dr. Robert F. Morrison
CEO and Clinical Director
Dr. Morrison founded the practice after returning from being stationed with the U.S. Navy in England with the goal of providing genuine and compassionate care for the families of Williamsburg and the greater Hampton-Roads area.
The practice has grown to incorporate some of the latest dental technologies as well as continue to provide extensive and patient-oriented care for families and individuals. With a great team of Williamsburg dentists and staff, the offices of Morrison Dental Group pride themselves on the personal attention and skill that they can offer their patients. Dr. Morrison graduated from Southern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry in 1979. He attended Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine, graduating in 1982, completing a post-doctoral residency in Comprehensive Dentistry. He served as a dental officer ashore and afloat from 1982-1991 in the U.S. Navy and was the dentistry department head afloat the U.S.S. Guam. Dr. Morrison was head of the Pediatric Department from 1987-1988, Dental Clinic, Norfolk Naval Station, Norfolk, Virginia.
Dr. Morrison is married to Alison, who serves as Morrison Dental Group’s CFO. They have two sons: Frank, a LCDR in the United States Coast Guard and Alex, who also works with Morrison Dental Group as the Chief Compliance Officer. In his spare time, Dr. Morrison is a dedicated family man and enjoys fishing on the Chesapeake Bay, as well as kayaking and restoring British MG cars.
Dr. Morrison is a member of the ADA, American Academy of Sleep Medicine, The VDA, the PDA, and the International College of Dentistry.
Dr. Kisley Romano
Dr. Kisley Romano was born in Los Angeles, CA but moved to Cali, Colombia when she was two to live with her mother’s family.
She later returned to the United States to attend college in Atlanta at the University of Georgia. After graduating college, she worked as a dental assistant for a period of time and became intrigued by the dental field. She enjoyed each unique patient experience and loved the challenges involved in her work. She especially loved learning new techniques and seeing new developments in dentistry, which eventually led her to attend West Virginia University for dental school.
Dr. Romano loves all of her patients, but she especially loves working with children, having two children herself. She is actively involved in her children’s school and loves volunteering with kids at free dental clinics. She describes herself as outgoing and energetic with a lot of projects she’s working on at any given time. She values the deep connections that she has made from family in Colombia to friends in Atlanta and West Virginia. Dr. Romano is married to David Romano, an Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon at Riverside, who just recently became a civilian after spending the last 10 years in the Army. They are very excited to put some roots down in the Hampton Roads area with their kids, Isabella and David. Their family also consists of three dogs, a Pomeranian named Mia, and two large rescue mutts named Mani and Lola. In her spare time, you can find Dr. Romano camping with her family, gardening, canning peppers, and cooking Colombian and Italian food.
Dr. Jesus Sanchez
For Dr. Jesús Sánchez, dentistry has been a part of his entire life. Growing up in Puerto Rico, he visited his parents’ dental practice daily and the field always intrigued him.
As he grew older, Dr. Sánchez realized the importance of his parents’ work, and helping people in their community, which is what fuels his passion for dentistry today. Dr. Sánchez remembers, “As I was growing up, I understood that in the field of dentistry I would be able to do something I enjoy and give back. That mentality of helping people is what drives me to work and do the best that I can.” Dr. Sánchez is thrilled to be a part of Morrison Dental Group and is excited to meet new patients. He is an “eternal student,” constantly looking to learn more about new technologies in the dental field and how he can better serve his patients.
Dr. Sánchez attended the University of Puerto Rico of Dental Medicine and completed two residencies, one being a General Practice Residency at Lehigh Valley Health Network in Allentown, PA, and the second at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in Newark, NJ with a focus on Oral Surgery.
Dr. Sánchez is a proud Eagle Scout and is looking forward to sharing his love for the outdoors with his children. Dr. Sánchez enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, reading, water sports, and being a part of the community. He is married to his high school sweetheart, Susana, a former dancer and wedding coordinator who now dedicates her days to being a stay-at-home mom for their sons, Lorenzo and Javier. The family lives in Williamsburg with their dog, Emma, whom they adopted from the Humane Society on the couple’s first anniversary.
Dr. Evan Rurak
Dr. Evan Rurak grew up in Boston, MA, and attended Tufts University for his undergraduate degree in biology with a minor in entrepreneurship where he was the president of the Pre-Dental Society.
He then went on to attend University of Pennsylvania’s School of Dental Medicine for his DMD before joining the Navy. In his time in the Navy he was stationed at Parris Island, USS Eisenhower, and the Naval Medical Center of Portsmouth. He was first drawn to dentistry in high school when he found himself interested in medicine but wanting a career where he could work with his hands.
Dr. Rurak enjoys dentistry the most because he loves to help patients go from a place of discomfort or pain to a healthy, new smile. He loves seeing a patient from start to finish and brightening their day. “There is an immediate satisfaction” with many procedures that he enjoys sharing with his patients. Before attending dental school, Dr. Rurak volunteered as a dental assistant in an inner-city free clinic in Lawrence, MA. He is excited for the opportunity to volunteer with Smiles for Heroes while working with Morrison Dental Group.
In his spare time, Dr. Rurak enjoys lifting and competitive bodybuilding. He appreciates a good game of pick-up basketball and investing in real-estate. He loves spending time at the beach and brunching on the weekends and he is a big Boston sports fan. He describes himself as motivated, confident, quirky and extroverted.
Dr. Hima Vuddaraju
Dr. Hima Vuddaraju was first interested in dentistry as a child growing up in India.
She saw how much a person’s smile was linked to their personality and the impact that a heartfelt smile could have on someone. She also saw how dentistry tied together many subjects such as biology, chemistry, physics, psychology, and art. Considering herself a jack of all trades, she knew dentistry was the perfect field for her!
After completing her undergraduate degree at GITAM Dental College in Andhra Pradesh, India, she went on to attend the University of Southern California – Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry in Los Angeles. She completed her Master’s degree in oral biology with a thesis focused on oral microbiology and immunology. Dr. Vuddaraju most enjoys doing extractions and prosthodontic procedures. She loves participating in local community events and spreading happiness wherever she goes!
Dr. Vuddaraju describes herself as someone driven by compassion who believes in self-improvement and conquering fears by the day. She is married to her high school sweetheart, Srujan, who is a software engineer for VDOT, and they have one son named Shaarav. Dr. Vuddaraju enjoys different kinds of dancing including Indian classical dance, Zumba, and hip hop. She loves writing and has a poetry collection written in four different languages. One of her favorite past times is cooking and learning new cuisines. A fun fact about Dr. Vuddaraju is that she has recently begun trying stand up comedy!

Priscilla Hansen
She moved to Williamsburg in 2012 due to her husband being stationed at Ft. Eustis. After spending four years as an office coordinator, she became a Regional Manager for our south side offices. Priscilla most enjoys the dental field because of how much she cares for our patients. She loves being a part of their emotional journey as they come into the office in pain and leave with instant gratification. In her spare time, Priscilla enjoys spending time with her family and cheering on Penn State. She is most proud of the time she is able to give back to the community volunteering for things such as Girl Scouts, Smiles for Heroes, and many more!
Sara Lawson
Sara Lawson is originally from Virginia Beach, but has been in the Newport News area for about 15 years.
Sara started in dentistry almost 20 years ago and loves seeing patients get their smiles and confidence back! Sara is motivated every day to make her little mark on the world. She is married and has four sons and one dog. In her spare time, Sara enjoys doing her nails and DIY home projects.
